Saturday January 7th

There is a lot going on this Saturday with NRC!  I will start with the run schedules that I am aware of…

We have several options to choose from so hopefully you can find a distance and pace with a group that works with your individual goals!

7:00 a.m.         Marie, Nikki, and Amy O are running 10 miles at a 9:30ish pace

7:00 a.m.         Megan plans for 12 at about a 8:30-9:00 pace

7:30 a.m.         Tandy and I will run 8 or 9 at a 9:15-9:30 pace

7:30 a.m.         Kelli and Shawn are running 5 miles at a 11:00 pace

7:30 a.m.         Scott will welcome a newcomer Travis with a 4 mile run at a 10:00 pace

Also, best of luck to those NRC members running in races this weekend…

David Dye is running the Disney Marathon and Rachel Eller is running in Ragnar Key West!  I’m sure they will have some great stories to tell next week!

Wednesday January 4th

The best way to accomplish any goal is to have a good plan!  So, if you have been thinking about coming out to run with us as part of your plan for the New Year, we would love to see you tonight!

Our Wednesday group typically represents many different paces and distances so there is a place for everyone!

Remember we meet at 6:15 p.m. at Mama’s Java.

New Year’s Eve Running Plans!

NRC runners will be out in full force tomorrow morning!  Several will be starting at 7:00 a.m. from Mama’s Java to tackle 10-12 miles anywhere from an 8:50 to 9:30 pace.  There will also be another group (also starting at 7:00 a.m.) running 6 miles at a 10:00 pace.

We would love to see more faces out there whether you run your first mile with us or more.

Happy New Year to all!!

Wednesday 12/28/2011

Finally after a rainy Tuesday this week, the sun decided to show itself!  Despite being a little chilly, this evening promises good weather for an NRC group run.  Why wait for January 1st to roll around for a New Year’s resolution?  Start tonight!

Whether you are new to the sport or not, we welcome anyone with an interest in running.  Remember, we start from Mama’s Java at 6:15 p.m.

As always, make sure you run safely…wear your headlamps and reflective gear!

Saturday December 24th – Christmas Eve Run

We had a fantastic time at the first annual NRC Christmas party last night. It was a great way to celebrate all of the new friendships that have been made throughout the year!

To continue celebrating the season, join us for a Christmas Eve run tomorrow morning!   Several are planning on running between 8 and 10 miles at about a 9:15 pace starting from Mama’s Java at 7:30 a.m.

Whether you join for a few miles or all, we would love to see you!

Merry Christmas from NRC!!

Wednesday December 21st – Leave the treadmill behind!

It’s Wednesday and that means a group run with NRC!  Weather appears to be a bit on the rainy side during the morning hours but hopefully should clear this evening, leaving behind just a few puddles for splashing. I’m looking forward to seeing the many Christmas light displays again that we enjoyed last week.

So… leave that treadmill behind and join us!  Remember, we will meet at Mama’s Java at 6:15 and return after the run to grab a bite to eat.

Running Plans for Saturday 12/17 AND Location Change Announcement to the NRC Christmas Party!

Hello All!  I wanted to first make sure everyone is aware that we have changed the location of the NRC Christmas party scheduled for this coming Thurday (Dec 22).  Due to such a large response of people attending, we decided that we will need more room!  This is a GREAT problem to have since so many of our running friends will be there. We will be meeting at the new Nolensville Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.  I big thanks to Scott for getting this worked out! (I know he had to pull a lot of strings with the Mayor 🙂 )  One item to mention is that alcohol is not allowed in the building.  Just a heads up if anyone had thought about bringing a bottle of wine or something to share.  In addition we will be having it catered by Uncle Bud’s thanks to our own Kelly Dever. The cost will be $10 per adult and $5 for children.  Looking forward to seeing everyone there!!

For running plans tomorrow…  Like Wednesday, we are going to meet at Mama’s Java instead of Martin’s.  A couple of us will meet at 6:30 a.m. to get an earlier start on 8-10 miles at about a 9 minute pace.  Also, there are a few meeting at 7:30 a.m. to run 5-6 miles at a 9:30 pace.  Whatever your running plans, have fun, good luck, and be safe!

Happy Friday!
